Program Notes:

This piece is a lied set with English text. I tried to use chromatic harmonies, such as borrowed chords, diminished chords, augmented triads, and so on to reflect the mood of the text. Besides, I also designs rhythmic pattern to initiate the waves, the winds, and other characters in the poem. The lied, so, is consisted of emotional and pictorial elements.
