Program Notes:
The order if these seven movements in the suite is arranged in Arch form so that they are better to be performed the right order and without missing any one of them.
The first piece is a fast moving solo piece for woodblocks-set. The accents in the music are very important. The separated groups of static notes and control the alternation of pitches. The slow second movement is also a solo piece. The use of the pedal allows the sound of the instrument ringing in the air. A xylophone duet follows after. The idea of the piece is to shift the melodic phrases in the two parts out of the other.

The fourth piece is dramatic in manner. The two players, each holds one specific instrument in hand, one holds a whip and the other holds a vibraslap, act as two clowns with different character. They irritate and make fun to the audience.

The fifth movement is an expressive solo piece. The theme of it is again taken from the second movement. The following movement is composed for two pairs of bongo. Both the players play the same music but one of them starts behind the other with a slightly faster tempo so that a kind of chasing effect can be created. The last movement is both musical and dramatic in manner. Both players are required to stand inside a circle of twelve percussion instruments and to play these instruments one by one in clock-wise motion. The static ticking pattern in the beginning of the piece is used to imitate the clock's sound. These ticking sounds are soon gradually vanised so that noises, which do not belong to the clock, come out. The static ticking pattern reappears after somebody winds up the clock again. At the end, the glorious sound from the tublar bells pushes the whole piece towards climax.
